Sullivan County Republican Committee Meeting - Sept. 19th, 2009 - 9 A.M.

Chairman Harry Gale opens meeting at 9:08 A.M. Harry thanks all for attending.
The Pledge of Allegiance is taken.
Darryl Montague a visitor from Claremont, is introduced.
Secretary's report by Dave Roark- motion to accept the report by Joe Osgood and second by Beverly Rodeshin. Motion passes.
Treasurer's report will be delayed to the next meeting.
Senator Bob Odell report-one last session meeting on October 28th for governor vetos votes Senator Odell still will be working on Committees through the end of the year, involving many issues including gambling,issues relating to the state budget and others.
State House Representative report by Beverly Rodeshin- continuous update on NH State Unions vs. Governor Lynch's agreements of 25 million dollars. Meetings will be coming up on ways and means on state sales and income tax. Chairperson is Susan Almy of Lebanon. Candidate filing is June 2nd to the 11th for 2010 season of state elections for the state primary ballot in September 2010.
Area Chair report - Rob Kasper- A great fundraising dinner was held. We need further work on town chairs. NH State budget concerns are still very important. Comments and Discussions occur on possibilities of expanded gambling.
Combined reports of Lincoln Day dinner and chair reports:
Harry Gale- 102 people attended the Lincoln Day dinner. Seven tables were sold, with thanks to all involved. Beverly Rodeshin sold the most tickets. Harry was happy with the way things worked out with Kelly Aoyotte as the guest speaker (who will be a candidate for the U.S. Senate.) We will try to do a larger fundraising events in the first half of 2010. Discussions of additional strategies were spoken about. It was decided that "Lincoln Day Events" will be on each monthly agenda until February or so.
Communications and Public Relations report- Steve Smith is not present. There were discussions on e-mailing. We will have communications with Steve Smith on e-mailing stratagie issues.
Old Business- none
New Business- Announcement of Dartmouth presentation open to the public.The speakers topic will be petitioning the government. We will be looking for new locations including meeting back at the Crown Point Cabinetry on River Rd.in Claremont for monthly meetings.
Next meeting set for October 17th at 9:00 A.M. ( We will be looking into meeting at Crown Point ).
