With all the current furor to pass sweeping mandatory health care reform, there is a figure that is bandied about that is intended to make us all sympathetic and weepy, in order to convince us to vote in favor of such plans.

"There are 47 million (sometimes 40, sometimes more than 50...depends on the speaker) uninsured Americans! This is awful! We must spend billions and billions NOW to correct this!!!"

So who are these people with no health insurance?

When we as conservatives and believers in the Constitution are being attacked from all over for our beliefs, that it is because of OUR conservatism and unwillingness to "compromise" that we lost the recent elections, maybe we should re-think the Party completely...

Regarding our Party's seeming "out of touch" status on alternate energy sources.

One comment I would like to make on this issue is that to secure our independence from foreign oil sources, we as a country should be looking at every possible alternative fuel source. Personally, I have no problems with wind power as a supplement to existing sources of energy. Every time I look south to the windmill farm on Lempster...
